Key Responsibilities

* Teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum with engaging, well-planned, and differentiated lessons.
* Lead year group planning meetings and support teachers and teaching assistants in delivering consistent learning standards.
* Promote student wellbeing, pastoral care, and positive behaviour in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.
* Create a purposeful classroom environment with resources, displays, and learning opportunities that motivate young students.
* Use assessment data, Learning Ladders, and pupil progress information to guide planning, interventions, and student support.
* Support students with EAL or additional learning needs through appropriate strategies and collaboration with specialists.
* Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, reporting, professional development, and teaching improvement initiatives across the school.
* Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, colleagues, and school leaders regarding student progress and development.
* Demonstrate effective use of technology to enhance teaching delivery and classroom engagement.
* Ensure behaviour, safeguarding, and student concerns are recorded and followed up accurately through the correct school systems.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor degree in Education or a Bachelor degree in a relevant subject with PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Minimum 3 years of teaching experience within the English National Curriculum.
* Previous leadership experience as a Head of Year, year group lead, phase lead, or similar middle leadership role is desirable.
* Strong understanding of primary teaching, child development, curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom management.
* Ability to guide colleagues, manage responsibilities calmly, and contribute to whole-school improvement.
* Excellent communication skills with a supportive, approachable, and collaborative working style.
* Passion for education and a strong belief in the potential of every student.
* Resilient, reflective, organized, and confident working in a busy international school environment.
* Experience in more than one international school is an advantage.
