Key Responsibilities
* Support individual pupils and groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom during lessons, activities,
* Help students participate fully in learning while supporting their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
* Assist with individual education programmes and help monitor pupil progress under teacher guidance.
* Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional, behavioural, and social development requirements.
* Assist class teachers with pupil records, classroom preparation, learning materials, and teaching support tasks.
* Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work to encourage engagement and classroom pride.
* Provide group instruction or individual instruction as directed by the teacher.
* Demonstrate learning activities and help pupils remain focused on assigned classroom work.
* Monitor work in progress, check pupil tasks, and reinforce achievement in line with school practice.
* Assist with attendance checks, classroom supervision, and end-of-day resource organisation.
* Supervise pupils in classrooms, activity areas, corridors, and other school locations.
* Support positive behaviour, pupil self-esteem, and discipline in line with whole-school policy.
* Attend team meetings, staff meetings, and professional discussions when required.
* Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists where necessary.
* Follow school policies on health and safety, safeguarding, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and professional standards.
Ideal Profile
* UAE National candidate with an attested secondary school certificate, Diploma, or Degree.
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Classroom Assistant or Inclusion Assistant.
* Previous experience working with students whose first language is not English is an advantage.
* Good English language skills or ability in the language used within the school curriculum.
* Passion for supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and whole-child development.
* Professional, respectful, and patient approach to working with pupils, teachers, parents, and school staff.
* Understanding of classroom routines, student supervision, and behaviour support.
* Recent involvement in extra-curricular activities or wider school life is preferred.
* Positive and solution-focused attitude toward daily school responsibilities.
* Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance as required.
