Role Context
The Principal serves as the strategic and academic head of the school, responsible for delivering educational excellence, operational efficiency, safeguarding standards, and stakeholder confidence. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role drives school improvement, strengthens leadership capacity, and ensures the institution remains highly competitive, compliant, and future-focused within the UAE education landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic school improvement aligned with LEAMS Education governance frameworks and long-term institutional goals.
Ensure high-quality teaching and learning delivery in line with the National Curriculum for England.
Drive inspection readiness and maintain full compliance with UAE authorities, British education standards, and safeguarding requirements.
Deliver measurable improvements in student attainment, academic progress, and examination performance across all key stages.
Strengthen senior and middle leadership teams through mentoring, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
Support enrolment growth, parent engagement, and school brand positioning across the Dubai education market.
Ensure financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and effective resource planning across all school functions.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, governance, and long-term institutional growth.
Monitor academic performance data and implement evidence-based strategies for continuous school improvement.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with parents, staff, regulators, and the wider school community.
Lead school culture initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, innovation, and student success.
Oversee safeguarding, child protection, and student welfare systems to maintain the highest standards of care.
Ideal Profile
Master’s degree in Education is required.
NPQH qualification is highly preferred.
Proven senior leadership experience within a UK Curriculum school is mandatory.
Strong track record of improved inspection outcomes and academic excellence is essential.
Deep understanding of IGCSE and A-Level pathways is required.
Strong knowledge of UAE education regulations and British curriculum compliance standards.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning capabilities.
Strong data-driven decision-making and performance improvement skills.
Ability to inspire teams, build leadership capacity, and manage institutional growth effectively.
