Role Context
The Science Coordinator Teacher plays a key role in strengthening academic performance and curriculum consistency across the Science department. This position supports both classroom teaching and department coordination by guiding teachers, improving lesson quality, and ensuring strong student outcomes aligned with British curriculum standards and school improvement goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and coordination of Science curriculum delivery across assigned grade levels.
Support Science teachers in improving lesson planning, classroom teaching methods, and student engagement strategies.
Monitor academic progress and implement improvement plans to raise student achievement and examination performance.
Conduct classroom observations and provide mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback to teaching staff.
Ensure lesson delivery aligns with British curriculum standards and school academic expectations.
Prepare schemes of work, assessments, reporting systems, and department documentation.
Collaborate with senior leadership to support school improvement plans and academic quality standards.
Maintain compliance with KHDA expectations, school policies, and inspection requirements.
Support parent communication regarding student academic progress and subject development.
Participate actively in staff development, meetings, inspections, and school-wide academic initiatives.
Promote innovation, practical learning, and strong scientific thinking across all student levels.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science is mandatory.
B.Ed. qualification is required.
Minimum 2 years of UAE teaching experience in a similar coordination role is mandatory.
Previous experience in British curriculum schools is highly preferred.
Strong subject knowledge in Science and academic leadership capability are essential.
Excellent English communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to mentor teachers and improve departmental teaching standards.
Candidates available for immediate joining will be strongly preferred.
Candidates without UAE teaching experience should not apply.
