The Secondary Biology Teacher plays an important role in developing students’ understanding of life sciences, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry through structured and engaging classroom learning. This position supports curriculum delivery, student assessment, and classroom excellence while maintaining high teaching standards aligned with British curriculum expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Biology lessons for secondary students aligned with British curriculum standards and school academic goals.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, practical activities, and assessments that support strong student learning outcomes.
Teach key Biology concepts including life sciences, human biology, ecology, genetics, and laboratory-based scientific investigation.
Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and scientific curiosity.
Monitor student progress regularly and provide clear academic feedback to students, parents, and school leadership.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, reports, and academic documentation.
Support students in developing analytical thinking, observation skills, and practical scientific understanding.
Conduct laboratory activities safely while ensuring compliance with school safety procedures.
Collaborate with department heads, teachers, and coordinators to improve teaching quality and curriculum delivery.
Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, school events, and professional development sessions.
Apply KHDA expectations and school policies to maintain educational quality and compliance standards.
Ideal Profile
Master’s degree in Biology is mandatory.
Bachelor of Education is required.
Previous teaching experience in Biology at the secondary level is preferred.
Experience in British curriculum schools is highly preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
Ability to deliver practical and theory-based Biology lessons effectively.
Candidates with own visa will be preferred.
