Role Context
The SEN Teacher plays a critical role in supporting students with diverse learning needs by delivering targeted interventions and personalised learning plans. This role contributes to academic progress, student wellbeing, and the development of an inclusive school culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored lessons and interventions for students with special educational needs
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans to support learning outcomes
* Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent support
* Provide guidance on inclusive classroom practices and differentiation strategies
* Maintain accurate records of student development and interventions
* Support transition planning and academic pathways for students
* Contribute to wider school initiatives, including extracurricular and pastoral programmes
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
* Recognised teaching qualification such as BEd or equivalent
* Experience working with students with special educational needs
* Strong understanding of inclusive education practices
* Ability to design and implement targeted interventions
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Leadership potential for additional responsibilities is an advantage
