Key Responsibilities
* Analyse student and team performance across PE, school sports, competitions, and training sessions.
* Use video analysis, performance data, observation notes, and assessment tools to identify strengths, gaps, and improvement areas.
* Support PE teachers and coaches with evidence-based feedback to improve technique, fitness, tactical understanding, and student outcomes.
* Help design performance tracking systems for student athletes, teams, and school sports programmes.
* Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries that support coaching decisions and student development plans.
* Assist in monitoring fitness progress, movement quality, skill development, match performance, and training effectiveness.
* Work with PE staff to integrate performance analysis into lessons, fixtures, tournaments, and enrichment activities.
* Support students in understanding their own performance data and setting realistic improvement goals.
* Promote safe practice, wellbeing, injury awareness, and responsible participation in physical activity.
* Contribute to extracurricular sports, school events, competitions, and wider PE department initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of performance trends, student progress, and programme impact.
* Use sports technology, digital tools, and analytical methods to strengthen the quality of physical education provision.
Ideal Profile
* Degree or qualification in Sports Science, Physical Education, Sports Performance Analysis, Coaching, or a related field.
* Experience in sports performance analysis, PE department support, coaching, athlete development, or school sports programmes.
* Strong understanding of performance data, video analysis, fitness testing, movement assessment, and student development.
* Confident using technology and digital tools to analyse performance and present useful insights.
* Ability to work closely with PE teachers, coaches, students, parents, and school leaders.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain performance feedback clearly and positively.
* Organised and detail-focused with strong reporting, record keeping, and follow-up skills.
* Enthusiastic about helping students improve confidence, skill, fitness, teamwork, and sporting potential.
* Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, safe sports participation, and professional school standards.
