Role Context
The Technical Education Manager plays a strategic role in shaping academic excellence across foundation and technical diploma programs by leading curriculum enhancement, faculty development, and operational performance. The position supports trainee success and workforce readiness by aligning academic delivery with industry expectations, digital transformation, and future skills development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Technical Department including department heads, instructors, and academic support teams
* Oversee foundation and technical diploma program delivery to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes
* Drive curriculum enhancement initiatives aligned with group companies’ intake demand and workforce competency requirements
* Promote innovation through integration of AI, digital technologies, autonomous learning, and modern teaching practices
* Strengthen collaboration with group companies, accreditation bodies, and technical solution partners to improve program relevance
* Lead instructor development, performance management, succession planning, and faculty capability improvement
* Ensure operational excellence across scheduling, academic resources, assessments, and learner support systems
* Monitor trainee progress, academic performance, and intervention plans to improve completion and success rates
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and academic quality assurance across all technical programs
* Maintain compliance with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and academic governance requirements
* Prepare strategic reports and recommendations for senior leadership and the Vice President of Academic Services
* Drive stakeholder engagement to ensure programs remain aligned with business and industry requirements
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Engineering, Technical Studies, or relevant discipline
* Master’s Degree preferred for senior academic leadership roles
* Strong experience in technical education, vocational training, or diploma program management
* Proven leadership experience managing academic departments, instructors, and support teams
* Strong knowledge of curriculum design, competency frameworks, and workforce development planning
* Experience with digital learning tools, AI integration, and Learning Management Systems
* Excellent people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong understanding of accreditation standards and academic quality assurance processes
* Ability to align training programs with operational and business workforce needs
