Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and academically strong Science lessons across Secondary and A Level classes
* Teach core science subjects with strong curriculum knowledge and accurate subject delivery
* Plan differentiated lessons that challenge students while supporting a wide range of learning abilities
* Prepare students effectively for examinations through structured assessment, revision planning, and academic intervention
* Foster inquiry-based learning, scientific investigation, and evidence-based problem-solving skills
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, attainment, and academic development
* Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and confidence
* Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and share outstanding teaching practices across the department
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and student development
* Participate actively in extracurricular science activities, competitions, and wider school community events
* Uphold safeguarding standards and role model the values of integrity, empathy, and fortitude
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor of Education or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification
* Proven experience teaching Secondary and A Level Science successfully
* Strong understanding of advanced science curriculum delivery and examination preparation
* Proven track record of outstanding teaching and excellent student outcomes
* Reflective and solution-focused mindset with commitment to continuous professional improvement
