Role Context
The Assistant Principal supports the secondary leadership team in managing teaching, learning, curriculum standards, and student outcomes. This role plays a key part in strategic planning, school improvement, and ensuring high-quality educational delivery aligned with UAE and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support school leadership in strategic planning and self-evaluation
* Lead and manage teaching and learning across the secondary team
* Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and student progress tracking
* Monitor student achievement, behaviour, and overall performance
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the school
* Lead target-setting, reporting, and data analysis for student outcomes
* Ensure alignment with KHDA and DSIB inspection frameworks
* Manage and support Heads of Department and teaching staff
* Promote innovation, future skills education, and career readiness
* Strengthen parent partnerships and communication strategies
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing school culture
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree with Qualified Teacher Status
* Accredited leadership qualification or ongoing leadership training
* Proven experience in school leadership or middle/senior leadership roles
* Strong knowledge of curriculum frameworks and educational standards
* Experience with KHDA/DSIB inspection frameworks preferred
* Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and school performance
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
