Position Overview
Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding UAE National Classroom Assistant to join Muna British Academy on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi in August 2026. The successful candidate will support individual pupils and groups while promoting their academic, social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
The role involves delivering teacher-directed instruction, monitoring pupils’ progress and supporting positive classroom behaviour. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an upcoming UAE National Recruitment Event at the Muna British Academy campus.

Role Context
Muna British Academy is a British Curriculum school located in the Saadiyat Lagoons community of Abu Dhabi. The school has maintained an Outstanding ADEK rating since 2015 and moved to a new purpose-built campus in August 2025.
The academy currently serves pupils from FS1 to Year 8 and plans to expand its secondary provision through Year 13. The Classroom Assistant will help pupils participate fully in learning and school activities within this growing educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom.
Help students participate fully in lessons and school-day activities.
Promote pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Provide group instruction as prescribed by the responsible teacher.
Deliver individual instruction when directed and appropriate.
Demonstrate learning activities and reinforce classroom concepts.
Monitor assigned work and correct pupils’ work while it is in progress.
Help students remain focused, organised and engaged with learning.
Praise pupil achievements and report progress to the class teacher.
Assist with implementing individual education programmes.
Monitor the progress of pupils receiving additional support.
Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Help pupils develop positive social skills and greater independence.
Assist class teachers with maintaining accurate pupil records.
Check and record attendance according to school procedures.
Prepare and present displays of students’ work.
Provide photocopying and other classroom-administration support.
Prepare, organise and return classroom materials and resources.
Reorganise learning materials at the end of the school day.
Supervise pupils in classrooms and other designated locations.
Promote pupils’ confidence, self-esteem and responsible behaviour.
Address misbehaviour consistently and in accordance with school policies.
Contribute to the development and implementation of positive behaviour practices.
Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.
Remain proactive in matters concerning health and safety.
Follow relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements and school policies.
Support the educational aims and values of Muna British Academy.
Complete other reasonable duties assigned by teachers or school leaders.
Ideal Profile
UAE National with a minimum secondary school certificate or bachelor’s degree.
At least two years of experience working within a school environment.
English-language proficiency appropriate for supporting the school curriculum.
Previous experience supporting pupils whose first language is not English.
Passion for education and commitment to developing the whole child.
Professional approach with careful consideration for student wellbeing.
Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
Respect for every member of a diverse school community.
Positive, collaborative and solution-focused attitude.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with teaching professionals.
Ability to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS check or police clearance.
