Position Overview
Aldar Education is seeking outstanding UAE National Classroom Assistants to join Al Rayana Charter School in Abu Dhabi in August 2026. The role will support individual pupils and groups during lessons and school activities while promoting their academic, social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Classroom Assistants will work closely with teachers and student-support professionals to deliver instructional activities, implement individual education programmes and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

Role Context
Al Rayana Charter School is a mixed-gender American Curriculum primary school in Abu Dhabi. Its modern learning environment promotes collaboration, leadership, creativity and high expectations for every pupil.
The Classroom Assistant will provide academic and pastoral support inside and outside the classroom. Responsibilities include helping pupils access learning, monitoring their progress, reinforcing positive behaviour and assisting teachers with classroom organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Support individual pupils and groups throughout the school day.
Help students participate fully in lessons and other school activities.
Promote pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Provide group or individual instruction as directed by the class teacher.
Demonstrate learning activities and reinforce concepts introduced during lessons.
Monitor assigned work and correct pupils’ work while it is in progress.
Help students remain focused, organised and engaged with their learning.
Praise pupils’ achievements and report progress to the responsible teacher.
Assist with implementing individual education programmes.
Help monitor the progress of pupils receiving additional support.
Support students with emotional, behavioural and other learning needs.
Help pupils develop positive social skills, confidence and independence.
Assist class teachers with maintaining accurate student records.
Check and record attendance according to school procedures.
Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work.
Provide photocopying and other classroom-administration assistance.
Prepare, organise and return learning materials after lessons.
Reorganise classroom resources at the end of the school day.
Supervise pupils in classrooms and other designated school locations.
Promote student self-esteem and contribute to positive behaviour practices.
Address misbehaviour consistently and in line with school policies.
Work collaboratively with speech therapists and occupational therapists when required.
Attend team meetings, staff meetings and relevant training activities.
Remain proactive in matters concerning health, safety and student welfare.
Follow relevant legislation and all approved school policies.
Demonstrate professional standards of dress, punctuality and attendance.
Support the aims, values and educational priorities of the school.
Complete other reasonable duties assigned by the Principal.
Ideal Profile
UAE National with a minimum secondary school certificate.
Interest in supporting the learning and development of primary-school pupils.
Ability to follow teacher instructions and deliver structured learning activities.
Understanding of student wellbeing and positive behaviour support.
Ability to work effectively with teachers and student-support professionals.
Patient, dependable and encouraging approach to working with children.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Commitment to health, safety and safeguarding requirements.
Professional approach to attendance, punctuality and conduct.
