Role Context

The Classroom Assistant plays a key role in supporting students’ academic, emotional, and physical development by working closely with teachers inside and outside the classroom. This position helps create a positive learning environment where students receive the guidance and encouragement needed to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide support for individual pupils and small groups both inside and outside the classroom during the school day
* Help students participate fully in learning activities while supporting their social, emotional, and physical wellbeing
* Assist in implementing individual education programmes and help monitor student progress
* Support pupils with additional learning needs including emotional and behavioural challenges
* Help students develop positive social skills and confidence within the school environment

* Support teachers with photocopying, classroom preparation, and other daily teaching assistance tasks

* Minimum secondary school certificate is required
* At least 2 years of experience working in a school environment
* Strong English language skills or proficiency in the language used within the school curriculum
* Previous experience supporting children in a classroom or educational setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and parents
* Positive attitude with patience, empathy, and strong teamwork skills
