Key Responsibilities
* Deliver inspiring homeroom lessons that help students achieve strong academic and personal progress.
* Plan and prepare learning sessions that meet
* Organise classroom resources, displays, and learning areas to create an engaging and purposeful environment.
* Use inclusive teaching methods that encourage independence, curiosity, confidence, and active participation.
* Observe and assess student learning in line with school assessment procedures and classroom expectations.
* Use assessment outcomes to adjust lesson planning, improve provision, and support targeted intervention.
* Work with fellow teachers to plan curriculum-linked lessons, share resources, and strengthen teaching quality.
* Build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community.
* Communicate with parents and carers regarding student achievement, wellbeing, progress, and classroom development.
* Maintain effective classroom routines and behaviour standards in line with school policy.
* Promote respect, self-control, cooperation, and positive learning attitudes across daily classroom practice.
* Liaise with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, or other specialists when needed.
* Embed the school’s learner values and teacher expectations throughout the classroom experience.
* Support school events, activities, curriculum projects, and wider professional duties as required.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
* Previous experience as a Homeroom Teacher, Primary Teacher, or classroom educator is preferred.
* Clear understanding of American Curriculum teaching, lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management.
* Ability to motivate young learners through creative, structured, and inclusive teaching methods.
* Strong communication skills for working with children, parents, teachers, and school leaders.
* Confident approach to student progress tracking, feedback, and differentiated classroom support.
* Professional commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and positive behaviour development.
* Flexible and collaborative attitude toward curriculum planning and whole-school improvement.
* Ability to support children with varied academic, social, emotional, and learning needs.
