Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
* Teach students how to investigate needs, develop ideas and produce practical design solutions.
* Introduce design principles, materials, manufacturing methods and technical processes.
* Guide learners through research, specification writing, concept generation and product evaluation.
* Develop students\' sketching, modelling, prototyping and presentation capabilities.
* Demonstrate the safe and accurate use of workshop tools, machinery and equipment.
* Maintain strict health and safety standards during all practical activities.
* Prepare workshops, materials, components and digital resources before lessons.
* Teach students to select suitable materials according to performance, cost and sustainability.
* Integrate computer-aided design and digital manufacturing into relevant projects.
* Encourage responsible use of resources and environmentally conscious design decisions.
* Create practical challenges that strengthen creativity, resilience and problem-solving.
* Adapt lesson content for students with different abilities and learning requirements.

Ideal Profile

* Recognised bachelor\'s degree relevant to Design Technology, engineering, product design or education.
* Valid professional teaching qualification.

* Ability to teach materials, manufacturing methods and technical drawing.
