Role Context
This leadership role is responsible for shaping the school’s sporting vision and delivering a structured, high-impact sports programme. The position ensures a balance between elite athlete development and inclusive participation, supporting student growth, competitive success, and alignment with international school standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and implement a comprehensive whole-school sports strategy aligned with academic and wellbeing goals
* Develop elite athlete pathways in key disciplines including tennis, swimming, and football
* Oversee competitive teams, fixtures, tournaments, and inter-school competitions across all age groups
* Manage sports scholarship programmes including recruitment, development, and performance tracking
* Ensure compliance with local and international school sports regulations and governing bodies
* Deliver a broad recreational and extra-curricular sports programme promoting inclusion and engagement
* Organize national and international sports tours, events, and competitions
* Build partnerships with sports academies and external organizations to enhance programme delivery
* Manage sports facilities, equipment, and budgets effectively
* Track athlete performance data and participation metrics to support continuous improvement
* Lead, mentor, and develop PE teachers and coaching staff
Ideal Profile
* Proven leadership experience within a school or high-performance sports environment
* Strong expertise in athlete development and sports programme planning
* Experience managing large-scale sports operations and external partnerships
* Ability to inspire both competitive excellence and student participation
* Degree in Sport Science, Physical Education, or a related field
* Coaching qualifications and leadership training are advantageous
