Role Context
The Elementary Homeroom Teacher plays a vital role in building strong academic foundations, student confidence, and classroom discipline during the early years of education. This position supports student growth by delivering structured lessons, maintaining a positive classroom culture, and ensuring each learner receives the academic and emotional support needed for success.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the required curriculum with accurate and updated subject knowledge across elementary classroom levels
* Plan and deliver quality lessons that motivate students and support different learning styles
* Create engaging teaching materials and maintain an inclusive classroom environment for all learners
* Maintain records of curriculum plans, attendance, teaching resources, and assessment schedules
* Ensure GEMS policies, procedures, and professional standards are followed at all times
* Use suitable teaching strategies to support students with different abilities including ESL, gifted learners, and late-entry students
* Assess student progress regularly and provide clear academic feedback and performance reports
* Display strong competence in using media and educational technology in the classroom
* Promote student wellbeing and provide educational guidance where required
* Participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes, school events, and staff committees
* Build strong communication with parents and maintain positive professional relationships
* Support safe student behaviour, self-discipline, and strong classroom management practices
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor of Education degree or Bachelor’s degree with PGCE or Teaching Diploma approved by KHDA
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience in reputed schools using American Curriculum
* Experience as a Homeroom or Classroom Teacher for Elementary students
* Valid UAE Residence Visa required
* Strong classroom management and lesson planning abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good ICT skills and confidence using educational technology
* Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
