Role Context
The Elementary Innovation Activator and Robotics Coach plays a key role in driving inquiry-based learning, innovation, and digital transformation across the elementary division. This position supports teachers through collaborative planning, lesson modeling, and professional learning while ensuring students experience meaningful, authentic, and high-impact learning opportunities built around creativity, robotics, and future-ready education.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate weekly with grade-level teams to review, strengthen, and support units of inquiry for transdisciplinary learning
* Ensure inquiry planners are complete and aligned with curriculum expectations and learning goals
* Promote a culture of showcasing inquiry learning at the end of units across grade levels
* Support vertical alignment of K-5 units of inquiry to ensure continuity and consistency in learning language
* Assist in the development of yearly and term curriculum documents and academic planning
* Build teacher capacity in formative assessment strategies and personalized instruction approaches
* Use assessment data and student work to guide instructional improvement and student success
* Model innovative teaching practices and co-plan, team teach, and demonstrate effective classroom strategies
* Informally observe lessons and provide non-evaluative feedback for teacher growth and student outcomes
* Lead professional learning sessions for teachers and educational assistants to strengthen innovation and classroom practice
* Support students in demonstrating excellence across internal and external assessments
* Contribute to the school’s digital transformation and future-focused learning initiatives
