Role Context
The Head of Assessment is responsible for leading the school’s full assessment framework, ensuring quality, consistency, and measurable academic progress across all subjects. This role strengthens teaching and learning by using internal and external assessment data to drive targeted interventions, improve curriculum delivery, and support school-wide excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the quality and rigor of internal assessment papers across all subjects with strong academic standards and critical thinking
* Lead assessment data analysis and implement targeted intervention plans based on student performance needs
* Promote effective classroom use of assessment data to improve teaching strategies and learning outcomes
* Oversee compliance with UAE National Agenda requirements and standardized benchmarking assessments across core subjects
* Monitor school registration processes related to national assessment compliance and reporting
* Guide students, teachers, and parents in understanding assessment results and using insights for improvement
* Publish termly newsletters focused on National Agenda parameters and school performance updates
* Plan, coordinate, and monitor all standardized internal and external assessments across the school
* Drive Assessment for Learning strategies and deliver staff training including digital AFL tools
* Conduct lesson observations to ensure strong data-driven instruction and continuous student progress monitoring
* Analyze CBSE and CAIE examination results to support school improvement planning
* Maintain accurate assessment systems and reporting dashboards using Power BI and other academic tools
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education and a relevant subject area
* Strong experience in school assessment leadership and academic performance management
* Good knowledge of UAE Inspection Framework and National Agenda expectations
* Strong understanding of CBSE and CAIE assessment structures and reporting standards
* Proven ability to use Power BI for educational reporting and performance analysis
* Excellent IT, leadership, and communication skills
* Strong ability to train staff and promote assessment best practices
* High attention to detail and strategic academic planning ability
