Head of Business and Economics Dubai UAE leadership role in secondary education, responsible for driving academic excellence, leading curriculum delivery across Key Stages 4 and 5, and improving student outcomes in Business and Economics within a British curriculum international school.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead curriculum planning, delivery, and review across Business, Economics, and vocational programmes
* Ensure high-quality teaching standards and consistent academic performance across the department
* Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions to improve results
* Oversee assessments, including BTEC verification and exam preparation processes
* Lead, mentor, and develop teaching staff through coaching and performance management
* Promote a collaborative team culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement
* Engage with parents through reporting, meetings, and school events
* Build partnerships with universities, industry, and external stakeholders
* Contribute to school improvement planning, inspections, and self-evaluation processes
* Support whole-school priorities such as literacy, inclusion, and digital learning
* Promote enrichment activities and career pathway development for students
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field with PGCE or equivalent qualification
* Proven leadership experience in a secondary school environment
* Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics
* In-depth understanding of the British curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to inspire staff and students to achieve high performance
