Key Responsibilities
* Lead Chemistry curriculum planning, delivery, and review across secondary and A Level programmes
* Ensure high standards of teaching and consistent academic performance within the department
* Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve attainment and exam results
* Oversee laboratory standards, practical learning, and safety procedures
* Mentor, coach, and develop teaching staff to enhance performance and outcomes
* Promote a collaborative team culture focused on excellence and innovation
* Support assessment processes, including exam preparation and performance analysis
* Engage with parents and stakeholders to support student progress
* Contribute to school improvement planning, inspections, and academic strategy

Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience teaching A Level Chemistry in a secondary school
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of educators
* Strong understanding of British curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Ability to inspire staff and students to achieve high performance
