Role Context
The Head of Inclusion leads the development and implementation of inclusive education practices across the school. This role ensures that students with additional learning needs receive appropriate support while working closely with teachers, leadership teams, and parents to enhance academic success and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the inclusion and special education department across primary and secondary levels
* Develop and implement inclusive education strategies aligned with school and curriculum standards
* Oversee individualized education plans and ensure effective intervention programmes
* Support teachers in adapting curriculum and teaching methods for diverse learners
* Monitor student progress and use data to improve learning outcomes
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and training for staff on inclusive practices
* Collaborate with parents and external specialists to support student development
* Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding standards
* Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and student wellbeing across the school
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor degree in Special Education or related field with PGCE and QTS or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years teaching experience with leadership exposure preferred
* Strong background in inclusive education and SEN support strategies
* Experience in British curriculum schools is advantageous
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
* Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in education
