Role Context
The Head of MOE is a senior academic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of Ministry of Education subjects across the school. This position ensures full compliance with UAE educational regulations while driving teaching quality, curriculum development, staff mentoring, and student achievement. The role contributes significantly to school performance, inspection readiness, and long-term academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic direction and academic performance of all MOE subjects across the school
* Ensure full compliance with KHDA, Ministry of Education, and UAE National Agenda requirements
* Monitor curriculum delivery and maintain high standards of teaching and learning across Arabic, Islamic Studies, and related subjects
* Support and mentor teaching staff through performance management, coaching, and professional development
* Conduct lesson observations, feedback sessions, and academic reviews to improve classroom effectiveness
* Develop improvement plans aligned with school priorities and inspection frameworks
* Coordinate curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and student progress tracking
* Work closely with senior leadership to strengthen school-wide academic outcomes
* Manage reporting, documentation, and official communication with regulatory authorities where required
* Promote strong parent engagement and communication regarding academic standards and student progress
* Lead school readiness for inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field
* Master’s degree preferred for senior academic leadership roles
* Recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years of proven teaching experience in a school environment
* At least 2 years of officially documented leadership experience in a similar role such as Head of MOE or Academic Supervisor
* Strong understanding of KHDA frameworks, UAE educational regulations, and school inspection standards
* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
* Ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive academic improvement effectively
