Role Context
This role leads the Primary phase at a rapidly expanding school, shaping academic direction and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality education. The Head of Primary plays a central role in school growth, staff development, and maintaining strong performance across key stages while aligning with long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the strategic development and daily operations of the Primary School
* Drive improvements in teaching quality, curriculum delivery, and student outcomes
* Analyse performance data and provide clear direction based on key metrics
* Manage and develop teaching staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
* Collaborate with senior leadership to implement school improvement plans
* Ensure high standards in both academic achievement and student wellbeing
* Oversee curriculum implementation across KS1 and KS2 including phonics delivery
* Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across teams
* Contribute to policy development and long-term school strategy
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor degree in Education or relevant field with PGCE or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 10 years teaching experience including senior leadership exposure
* Proven experience in British curriculum schools with strong academic outcomes
* Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage school operations
* Strong leadership presence with ability to influence and inspire staff
* Deep understanding of primary education frameworks including KS1 and KS2
* Commitment to both academic excellence and student wellbeing
