Key Responsibilities
* Deliver well-structured lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve strong learning outcomes.
* Plan and prepare classroom sessions that meet curriculum requirements and support a range of student abilities.
* Create a positive

* Build productive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community.

* Use assessment data to guide future planning, classroom provision, and targeted intervention.
* Maintain responsibility for class progress and provide meaningful feedback to parents and carers during conferences and meetings.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively using approaches aligned with school policy and student needs.
* Promote self-control, positive learning attitudes, respect, and independence across daily classroom practice.
* Liaise with speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and curriculum support staff when required.
* Reflect on teaching practice, student progress, and learning provision to improve classroom outcomes.
* Embed the school’s Teacher and Learner DNA language, values, and expectations throughout the curriculum.
* Support curriculum planning, school activities, and wider professional responsibilities as directed.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.
* Previous classroom teaching experience in a primary, middle years, or American curriculum school is preferred.
* Clear understanding of curriculum planning, classroom instruction, assessment, and student progress tracking.
* Ability to teach mixed-ability learners through creative, inclusive, and well-organised classroom practice.
* Strong communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
* Professional commitment to student wellbeing, safeguarding, behaviour standards, and whole-child development.
* Confidence in using assessment systems such as Target Tracker to record progress and support planning.
* Flexible and collaborative approach to lesson planning, school improvement, and team-based working.
* Positive attitude toward parent engagement, community involvement, and student achievement.
