Position Overview
GMG, through its education division Emirates British Nursery (EBN), is looking for a caring and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join its team in Dubai. The role supports the teaching staff in providing high-quality early childhood care and education within the EYFS framework. The Nursery Assistant will ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that promotes each child’s physical, emotional, and educational development.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide attentive care and supervision to ensure children’s safety and well-being at all times.
* Assist teachers in preparing and conducting learning activities suited to individual child needs.
* Support children in basic care routines, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene.
* Organize and maintain playrooms, learning resources, and materials in a clean and orderly manner.
* Supervise mealtimes, ensuring children are supported in eating independently and safely.
* Prepare bottles and assist with feeding for infants when required.
* Help with nursery events, open days, and special activities for parents and children.
* Welcome and assist new staff members and visitors, modeling professionalism and teamwork.
* Carry out laundry and light cleaning duties related to classroom upkeep.
* Participate actively in staff meetings and training sessions.
* Follow Emirates British Nursery policies and procedures for child safety and welfare.
Ideal Profile
* Minimum of a High School Certificate or Level II qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education.
* Previous experience in an early years or nursery setting is preferred (international or home-country experience acceptable).
* Basic understanding of child development and care best practices.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is an advantage.
* Good communication skills and a compassionate, patient attitude toward children.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
* Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and daily routine management.
