The PE Technician - Sports Administration plays a key role in ensuring sports lessons, fixtures, and extracurricular activities operate efficiently. This position supports staff, students, and parents by handling equipment management, event preparation, scheduling, and communication while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation across all sports facilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare lesson materials and sports resources for PE classes and activities
* Coordinate transportation bookings and confirm logistics for sports fixtures
* Organise refreshments and operational support for sports events and tournaments
* Update PE noticeboards and manage student lost property returns
* Manage the Sports Department inbox and handle daily telephone and email correspondence
* Communicate with parents and other schools regarding fixture schedules and arrangements
* Attend department meetings and record meeting minutes
* Liaise with Facilities and Operations teams regarding sports department requirements
* Update SOCS with fixture details, team sheets, venue information, and results
* Produce reports including participation data, win-loss records, and CCA engagement
* Set up and clear away sports equipment for lessons, events, and weekend fixtures
* Maintain PE stores, clean equipment, and ensure safe storage of all resources
* Order sports materials and maintain appropriate stock levels of equipment and kit

Ideal Profile

* Previous experience as an administrator or in a similar support role
* Experience working in a school environment is preferred
* Experience in sports or leisure administration is an added advantage
* Strong ability to work efficiently in a busy and fast-paced environment
* Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
* Strong teamwork skills with willingness to support multiple tasks
* Professional telephone manner with discretion and confidentiality
* Genuine interest in sport, fitness, and student development
