Key Responsibilities
* Support individual pupils and groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom during lessons, activities,
* Assist class teachers in creating a positive, safe, and organised learning environment.
* Help pupils with social, emotional, physical, and behavioural development where additional support is required.
* Assist with individual education programmes and help monitor pupil progress under teacher guidance.
* Support pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties while helping them develop positive social skills.
* Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work to encourage student confidence and classroom engagement.
* Help class teachers with photocopying, materials preparation, classroom resources, and other teaching support tasks.
* Provide group instruction or individual instruction as directed by the teacher.
* Monitor assigned pupil work, keep students on task, and reinforce achievement during classroom activities.
* Assist with attendance checks, end-of-day classroom organisation, and daily learning routines.
* Supervise pupils in classrooms, activity areas, corridors, and other school locations.
* Report pupil progress, achievements, and concerns to the class teacher when needed.
* Support positive behaviour, pupil self-esteem, and discipline in line with whole-school policy.
* Attend team meetings, staff meetings, and relevant professional discussions as required.
* Work with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals when necessary.
* Follow school policies on health and safety, safeguarding, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and professional standards.
Ideal Profile
* UAE National candidate with a minimum secondary school certificate or Bachelor’s Degree.
* At least 2 years of experience in UAE schools.
* Good English language skills or strong ability in the language used within the school curriculum.
* Experience supporting pupils in classroom learning, group activities, and daily school routines.
* Ability to work respectfully with teachers, pupils, parents, support staff, specialists, and school leaders.
* Patient and positive approach to helping children stay focused, confident, and engaged.
* Understanding of pupil wellbeing, classroom behaviour support, and school health and safety expectations.
* Reliable professional standards in attendance, punctuality, dress, communication, and conduct.
* Ability to follow teacher instructions, school procedures, and student support plans.
* Commitment to supporting young learners in an inclusive and collaborative school environment.
