Postdoctoral Associate - Multi-Robot Swarms and AI Robotics
Are you a robotics and AI researcher looking to advance autonomous multi-agent systems? The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on Collaborative Multi-Robot Swarms in Unknown Environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop cutting-edge AI and robotics technologies, including distributed control, swarm intelligence, and autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop distributed multi-agent autonomous systems for robotic swarms
- Design and implement distributed monitoring algorithms for autonomous collaboration
- Work on sensor data processing, data fusion, and behavior prediction algorithms
- Conduct experiments on unmanned vehicle swarms, testing and refining algorithms
- Address adversarial control challenges, ensuring robust agent coordination and security
- Deploy and optimize algorithms using Matlab, Python, ROS, Ardupilot, and Gazebo
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, research collaborations, and project reports
- Collaborate with faculty, postdocs, and students in robotics, AI, and controls research
Required Skills and Experience
- PhD in electrical, computer, or mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Strong publication record in robotics, AI, or autonomous systems
- Expertise in distributed control, swarm robotics, and multi-agent collaboration
- Experience with SLAM, embedded systems, and adversarial control mechanisms
- Proficiency in C, C++, Linux, MATLAB, Python, ROS, Ardupilot, and SolidWorks
- Ability to design, prototype, and deploy algorithms in real-world autonomous systems
