Key Responsibilities
* Support individual pupils inside and outside the classroom so they can participate confidently in lessons, routines, and school activities.
* Assist with
* Help pupils with additional support needs, including academic, physical, emotional, behavioural, social, and communication challenges.
* Prepare adapted learning materials that help identified students access or differentiate the curriculum.
* Promote independence by teaching clear, practical, and meaningful strategies during classroom learning.
* Work closely with homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and the Head of Inclusion to support student development.
* Assist teachers with pupil records, classroom observations, learning updates, and progress information.
* Provide individual or group instruction as directed by the teacher and support pupils during assigned work.
* Monitor student engagement, keep pupils on task, and reinforce achievements in line with school practice.
* Support pupils in classrooms, specialist lessons, activities, trips, visits, and extra-curricular programmes.
* Attend SaLT, OT, or ABA therapy-related sessions and help deliver follow-up interventions to consolidate target skills.
* Maintain confidentiality and follow school procedures for formal communication with parents and carers.
* Support behaviour development, self-esteem, and discipline in line with the whole-school behaviour policy.
* Follow health and safety rules, code of conduct, safeguarding expectations, and all relevant school policies.
* Attend training sessions, professional meetings, and mentoring activities when required.
Ideal Profile
* UAE National candidate with a SEN qualification or Diploma.
* Minimum 2 years of SEN experience in a school or student support setting.
* Practical understanding of IEP goals, inclusion support, differentiated learning, and intervention strategies.
* Experience supporting pupils with academic, behavioural, emotional, physical, social, or communication needs.
* Ability to work calmly and professionally with young learners in a primary school environment.
* Strong teamwork skills for regular communication with teachers, inclusion staff, therapists, and school leaders.
* Respectful approach to confidentiality, safeguarding, student wellbeing, and school communication procedures.
* Reliable professional standards in attendance, punctuality, appearance, and daily conduct.
* Positive attitude toward inclusive education, student independence, and whole-child development.
* Willingness to support training, professional meetings, school trips, extra-curricular activities, and wider school duties.
