Role Context
The Primary Teacher is responsible for delivering curriculum standards while supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role contributes directly to student success by creating structured and inspiring classroom experiences, adapting lessons for different learning needs, and maintaining strong communication with parents and school leadership. The teacher also plays an active part in building a positive school culture and promoting educational excellence across the school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the assigned curriculum with accurate and up-to-date subject knowledge
* Plan and conduct engaging lessons that support different learning styles and student abilities
* Prepare teaching resources, lesson plans, and classroom activities aligned with academic standards
* Support students with varied educational needs including ESL learners, gifted students, and those requiring additional academic support
* Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and reporting documentation
* Set, mark, and review assignments, classwork, and examinations to monitor performance
* Use educational technology, digital tools, and media effectively within the classroom
* Promote student wellbeing, discipline, and positive behaviour management strategies
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and academic progress
* Participate in extracurricular activities, school functions, competitions, and academic events
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, teaching resources, and school improvement initiatives
* Attend meetings, CPD sessions, appraisals, and committee responsibilities as required
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Teaching, Education, or a relevant academic field
* Minimum 4 to 5 years of teaching experience in a reputable school environment
* Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and educational regulations
* Excellent ICT skills and confidence using classroom technology
* Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
* Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
* Well-organized with effective leadership and teamwork capabilities
* Professional attitude with a commitment to continuous development and safeguarding standards
