The Primary Teacher - Student Development is responsible for delivering inspiring lessons, maintaining strong classroom management, and ensuring every student reaches their academic potential. This role works closely with parents, colleagues, and support staff to provide a positive, inclusive, and high-performing school experience for all learners.

Key Responsibilities

* Organise classroom resources and displays to create a positive and engaging learning environment
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the needs of students across all ability levels
* Observe, assess, and monitor student progress using school assessment systems
* Reflect on teaching practice and adjust planning and curriculum delivery to improve outcomes
* Embed the school’s Teacher and Learner DNA values throughout daily teaching and learning
* Take full responsibility for the academic progress and development of a class
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote independence and self-control among students
* Act as a positive role model by demonstrating professional values and expected behaviour
* Support curriculum action groups, school events, outings, and extracurricular activities
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification
* Minimum 1 to 2 years of teaching experience within a school environment
* Previous experience working with students where English is not their first language is preferred
* Active involvement in extracurricular activities and wider school life
* Strong commitment to safeguarding, student well-being, and inclusive education
* Positive, solution-focused attitude with excellent teamwork skills
* Respectful and professional approach toward all members of the school community
* Valid enhanced DBS check or police clearance required
