Key Responsibilities
Lead the History and Politics department and guide curriculum planning aligned with the National Curriculum for England
Maintain strong academic standards across GCSE and A Level History and Politics programmes
Develop innovative lesson strategies that strengthen analytical, research, and debate skills among students
Monitor student performance and implement strategies that support high academic achievement
Mentor and support teaching staff within the department to ensure consistent teaching excellence
Contribute to enrichment programmes including debates, historical research projects, and student leadership initiatives
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration within humanities subjects across the school
Support the broader academic vision and strategic priorities of the school leadership team
Ideal Profile
Bachelor’s degree in History, Politics, or a related field with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum two years experience teaching the National Curriculum for England
Strong experience delivering GCSE and A Level History or Politics courses
Proven ability to deliver outstanding classroom teaching and academic outcomes
Passion for student development and commitment to academic excellence
Strong communication and leadership abilities in an international school environment
