Role Context
The Student Supervisor - Pastoral Care plays an essential role in maintaining student wellbeing, attendance accuracy, and effective communication between students, parents, and school leadership. This position supports daily school operations by strengthening pastoral systems, improving coordination, and ensuring a professional and welcoming front-of-house experience for the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as front of house for the Pastoral Team and provide professional support to students, parents, and staff
* Handle written communication, phone calls, emails, and in-person enquiries with accuracy and sensitivity
* Support attendance monitoring and work closely with reception staff and attendance officers regarding student whereabouts
* Maintain accurate records for attendance, punctuality, interventions, rewards, and other pastoral systems
* Manage calendars for Assistant Principals, Heads of Year, and Heads of Key Stage
* Coordinate school events including assemblies, reward parties, open evenings, annual awards, trips, and extracurricular activities
* Work closely with admissions, IT, housekeeping, clinic teams, and external providers for smooth event planning
* Provide administrative support for school systems including uniform monitoring, reflections, leave forms, and home-school agreements
* Translate important written communication between English and Arabic and support interpretation during parent-student meetings
* Serve as the main point of contact for ECA activities, school trips, and external visit coordination
Ideal Profile
* School leavers certificate or equivalent educational qualification
* English and Mathematics to GCSE level or equivalent
* Previous experience in front office, reception, secretarial, clerical, or administration roles
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, parents, and staff
* Must be proficient in both English and Arabic including speaking, reading, and writing
* Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office, iSams, Canva, and related systems
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal relationship-building skills
* Highly organised with strong scheduling and record-management abilities
* Professional approach to safeguarding and student welfare responsibilities
* Positive attitude with strong attention to detail and reliability
