Role Context
The Teacher - Arabic and Islamic plays a key role in building strong academic foundations and personal values by delivering engaging Arabic language and Islamic Studies education. This position supports students in developing confidence, cultural understanding, and positive behaviour while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver inspiring Arabic and Islamic Studies lessons that help students achieve strong academic outcomes
* Plan and prepare engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and school learning objectives
* Organise classroom resources and displays that promote an interactive and positive learning environment
* Motivate students through enthusiastic, imaginative, and student-focused teaching methods
* Assess student progress regularly and use data to improve lesson planning and intervention strategies
* Maintain accurate student development records using school systems such as Target Tracker
* Support students across different ability levels with inclusive teaching approaches
* Work closely with parents during Parent Teacher Conferences and regular school communication
* Follow behaviour management policies and maintain strong classroom discipline with positive reinforcement
* Contribute to curriculum action groups, extracurricular activities, school events, and weekly ECA programmes
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in the related subject with PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification
* Minimum 1 to 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
* Previous experience working with students where English is not their first language
* Strong passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
* Professional approach with strong focus on child wellbeing and safeguarding
* Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues
* Active involvement in extracurricular and wider school community activities
* Respect for diversity and strong ability to work within multicultural school environments
* Positive and solution-focused attitude toward teaching and teamwork
* Clean enhanced police clearance or Disclosure and Barring Services check
