Role Context
This role carries responsibility for curriculum delivery, assessment, classroom culture and communication with families. The teacher will adapt
instruction for students with varied academic levels, language backgrounds and learning profiles. Strong planning and accurate records will support continuity across the academic year, while leadership in wider school activities will strengthen the broader student experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the assigned curriculum using accurate and current subject knowledge.
* Plan well-structured lessons with clear learning objectives and suitable outcomes.
* Prepare teaching materials that support different learning styles.
* Maintain written evidence of lesson planning and preparation.
* Develop and update curriculum plans, year plans and assessment schedules.
* Keep accurate attendance, achievement and teaching-resource records.
* Differentiate learning for students with varied needs and abilities.
* Support late-entering students and learners using English as an additional language.
* Provide appropriate intervention for students working below expected levels.
* Extend gifted and talented students through suitably challenging activities.
* Establish a safe, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
* Use suitable strategies to encourage self-discipline and positive behavior.
* Intervene consistently when behavior disrupts learning or student safety.
* Set, mark and evaluate classwork, homework and formal assessments.
* Record and report student attainment and academic development.
* Use assessment evidence to adjust instruction and target individual support.
* Incorporate media and classroom technology to improve engagement.
* Promote student wellbeing and provide appropriate educational guidance.
* Communicate progress, achievements and concerns to parents regularly.
* Protect the confidentiality of student and family information.
* Coordinate professionally with relevant external education officials when required.
* Work with colleagues to develop resources, courses of study and pastoral arrangements.
* Share effective practice, teaching materials and professional experience.
* Participate in appraisal, performance management and continuing professional development.
* Contribute to and lead co-curricular or extracurricular activities where appropriate.
* Support inter-house competitions, concerts, school productions and prize events.
* Attend staff meetings and serve on school committees.
* Model cultural awareness, respect and a positive attitude toward learning.

Ideal Profile
Candidates should hold a bachelor\'s degree in teaching or a qualification relevant to the assigned subject area. Four to five years of classroom teaching experience is required, supported by strong knowledge of instructional methods and applicable educational procedures.
The preferred educator will be organized, confident in classroom leadership and capable of communicating effectively with students, parents, colleagues and external stakeholders. Strong presentation skills, professional judgment and a willingness to contribute beyond routine classroom duties are important.
