Role Context
The Teacher - Elementary plays a key role in shaping early academic success and student wellbeing by delivering inspiring lessons that support learning, creativity, and confidence. This position helps students develop strong literacy, numeracy, communication, and social skills while ensuring a positive and student-centred educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging elementary lessons that inspire students to achieve strong academic outcomes
* Plan and prepare lessons aligned with the Massachusetts Common Core Curriculum and school teaching standards
* Create a positive classroom environment with organised learning resources and engaging educational displays
* Teach students across the full ability range using differentiated learning strategies for effective progress
* Motivate students through enthusiastic, imaginative, and student-focused teaching approaches
* Observe and assess student progress regularly in line with school assessment systems
* Maintain accurate student development records using Target Tracker and academic reporting systems
* Use assessment data to improve lesson planning, intervention strategies, and learning outcomes
* Work closely with parents during Parent Teacher Conferences and regular school communication
* Maintain strong classroom discipline and positive behaviour management in line with school policy
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with an appropriate teaching qualification such as Bachelor in Elementary Education
* Minimum 2 to 3 years of teaching experience in Elementary education
* Previous experience working with students where English is not their first language
* Strong passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
* Professional attitude with strong focus on student wellbeing and safeguarding
* Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues
* Positive and solution-focused attitude toward teaching and teamwork
* Strong classroom management and inclusive teaching abilities
* Clean enhanced police clearance or Disclosure and Barring Services check
