Role Context
The Teacher - Science plays a key role in helping students develop curiosity, analytical thinking, and strong subject knowledge across science disciplines. This position supports academic success by delivering well-structured lessons, maintaining inclusive classroom engagement, and encouraging practical learning that prepares students for future educational achievement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with curriculum standards and expected learning outcomes
* Teach using appropriate syllabus materials, lesson plans, and schemes of work to strengthen science subject understanding
* Create a positive classroom environment with effective learning resources and engaging educational displays
* Plan lessons for students across all ability levels using effective differentiation strategies
* Support SEN, POD, EAL, and gifted students through inclusive teaching approaches and targeted interventions
* Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through enjoyable, challenging, and creative science lessons
* Monitor student progress and adjust lesson planning to improve academic achievement and learning outcomes
* Facilitate face-to-face, hybrid, and distance learning sessions where required
* Maintain strong classroom discipline while following safeguarding, behaviour, and child protection policies
* Build positive professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues across the school community
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. or PGCE Education qualification
* Previous experience in an international school environment is an advantage
* Experience teaching students where English is not their first language
* Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
* Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
* High level of professionalism with strong focus on child wellbeing and safeguarding
* Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
* Respect for diversity and strong ability to work within multicultural environments
* Positive and solution-focused attitude toward teaching and teamwork
* Clean enhanced police clearance or Disclosure and Barring Services check
