Position Overview
DP World is seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to manage the engineering design and delivery of Auxiliary Electrical Systems for offshore HVDC and HVAC platforms. Based in Dubai, this senior role will oversee complex electrical scopes within renewable energy projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and schedule alignment throughout all project phases. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating with technology partners, engineering subcontractors, and cross-functional teams while delivering world-class engineering solutions aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, planning, and execution of electrical auxiliary systems for offshore HVDC and HVAC platforms
* Manage all phases of project delivery, including budgeting, engineering documentation, quality reviews, and field development support
* Coordinate engineering subcontractors and liaise with international technology partners to ensure seamless integration and compliance
* Deliver electrical design outputs using tools such as ETAP and AGi32 across all project milestones
* Ensure engineering deliverables meet IEC/IEEE standards and classification society requirements (DNV-GL, Bureau Veritas, etc.)
* Provide expert technical guidance and resolve engineering queries from internal teams and external stakeholders
* Oversee interface management with operations, maintenance, and client engineering teams
* Support construction, pre-commissioning, and startup phases with multi-disciplinary coordination
* Promote a strong safety culture and enforce adherence to quality and risk control standards
* Identify design risks and recommend technical solutions to address performance or schedule gaps
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in design or EPC environments, specifically in offshore HVDC/HVAC platforms
* At least 6 years of senior-level experience in electrical design for process or renewable energy platforms
* Proficiency with engineering software tools including ETAP, AGi32, ERP systems, and EDMS platforms
* Deep knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and classification codes (e.g., DNV-GL, Bureau Veritas)
* Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale engineering scopes and subcontractor coordination
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication in English
