Position Overview
Al Futtaim Engineering and Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage all electrical project activities across commercial and infrastructure developments. The role requires expertise in electrical engineering design, project execution, cost management, and compliance with UAE authority regulations. The successful candidate will ensure timely project delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality, health, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end execution of electrical activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, clients, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
* Work with Planning Engineers and Supervisors to quantify material and labor requirements and ensure timely procurement and mobilization.
* Oversee site installation and ensure adherence to safety and workmanship standards.
* Monitor productivity and implement corrective actions to maintain project efficiency.
* Collaborate with QS teams to track variation works, delays, and ensure claims are accurately submitted.
* Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to improve profitability and performance.
* Supervise preparation and approval of shop drawings, material submissions, and procurement documentation.
* Liaise with DEWA, ADDC, ETISALAT, DU, and DCD for permits and approvals, maintaining compliance with local authority regulations.
* Apply internal engineering standards and ensure all procedures and documentation are followed consistently.
* Maintain project close-out documents and lessons learned to improve future project performance.
* Ensure full compliance with Al Futtaim HSE policies, report incidents, and promote safety awareness on-site.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP contracting, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
* Strong understanding of electrical project execution, design coordination, and quality control.
* Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and AutoCAD.
* Familiarity with UAE regulations and authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, DCD).
