Key Responsibilities
* Manage procurement of electrical systems, equipment, and materials for power plant projects
* Issue RFQs and RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial offers, and finalize vendor selections
* Maintain approved vendor lists, prequalification records, and performance evaluations
* Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor expediting to meet project timelines
* Review technical specifications, datasheets, BOQs, and drawings for electrical packages
* Ensure compliance with project standards, client requirements, and international electrical codes
* Coordinate with design engineers, QA and QC teams, consultants, and site teams for approvals and inspections
* Support submittals, factory acceptance tests, commissioning documentation, and certifications
* Align procurement schedules with installation and commissioning plans through close site coordination
* Maintain procurement documentation, cost reports, compliance records, and performance KPIs
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* 5–10 years of experience in electrical procurement for power plant, industrial, or EPC projects
* Strong knowledge of switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, cables, panels, ELV, and lighting systems
* Experience working with UAE or GCC power plant projects is preferred
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and electrical bills of materials
* Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple fast-paced project requirements
