Position Overview
DP World Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in HVDC and HVAC offshore platforms to support renewable energy and infrastructure projects. The role involves managing electrical engineering scopes, coordinating design deliverables, and ensuring compliance with international standards. The successful candidate will lead design and development for electrical auxiliary systems, collaborating with technology partners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead electrical design and engineering for auxiliary systems of HVDC and HVAC offshore platforms.
* Manage assigned engineering scopes, including planning, budgeting, and deliverable control for renewable energy projects.
* Prepare, review, and approve electrical engineering documents across all project phases.
* Liaise with technology partners and clients to ensure engineering alignment and project consistency.
* Coordinate activities with internal disciplines and subcontractors to achieve integrated project delivery.
* Provide expert guidance on electrical design, safety compliance, and engineering problem-solving.
* Conduct electrical system analysis and design using software such as ETAP and AGi32.
* Ensure adherence to IEC, IEEE, DNV-GL, and BV classification standards.
* Monitor project progress, quality, and technical accuracy, identifying risks and corrective actions as required.
* Support pre-commissioning and start-up activities, providing technical oversight and issue resolution.
* Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all engineering operations.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; advanced qualifications preferred.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical design for offshore HVDC/HVAC or energy infrastructure projects.
* At least 6 years of proven capability in engineering design within an EPC or major offshore project environment.
* Strong knowledge of auxiliary electrical systems, switchgear, and substation design.
* Expertise in ETAP, AGi32, ERP, and engineering document management systems (EDMS).
* In-depth understanding of international codes including IEC, IEEE, DNV-GL, and BV standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
