Role Context
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in delivering engineering projects by coordinating technical teams, tracking progress, and ensuring efficient use of resources. This role contributes to maintaining project timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Support development of project scope, schedules, and budgets for assigned work elements
* Monitor project progress and identify scope changes or potential risks
* Assist in managing procurement activities and tracking subcontractor performance
* Coordinate with procurement teams to support tendering and bid processes
* Facilitate communication between engineering disciplines and project teams
* Support allocation of technical personnel across project activities
* Assist in planning and supervising technical and administrative project functions
* Ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and contract scope
* Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates
* Track and distribute project information and action items across stakeholders
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of project management principles and construction processes
* Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines
* Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills
* Experience supporting procurement and contract processes is an advantage
