Job Overview
As a BIM Coordinator specializing in Civil 3D, you will lead the coordination of Building Information Modeling for complex infrastructure designs, ensuring that multidisciplinary teams align on technical accuracy, data consistency, and delivery timelines. Your role is crucial to digital delivery, ISO 19650 compliance,
and driving innovation in transportation and infrastructure development projects.
What You’ll Do
* Coordinate BIM implementation across road, drainage, earthworks, and utilities design teams
* Develop Civil 3D models, including custom subassemblies, corridors, pipe networks, and grading surfaces
* Maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project workflows in compliance with ISO 19650
* Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve coordination issues early in design stages
* Manage file structures, model federation, coordinate systems, and linked data environments
* Prepare and manage MIDPs and TIDPs, working closely with internal teams and consultants
* Ensure LOD compliance and BIM data accuracy across lifecycle stages
* Collaborate with engineers, architects, and GIS teams to support seamless project delivery
* Participate in QA/QC checks, documentation audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* 5+ years of BIM coordination experience in infrastructure projects
* Advanced expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, including custom assemblies and corridor modeling
* Proficient in Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or ProjectWise
* Strong understanding of roads, grading, utilities, and drainage modeling workflows
* Experience with ISO 19650 standards and structured BIM documentation
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor junior BIM staff
* Bonus: Experience with InfraWorks, Revit, or Dynamo scripting for BIM automation
* BIM certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, ISO 19650 OPERAM) are a plus
