Role Summary
As a Civil Inspector focused on irrigation and landscaping projects in Dubai, you will carry out routine site inspections, verify materials and workmanship, and report on progress and non-compliance issues. The role is critical to ensuring that all infrastructure components, including irrigation pipelines, concrete works, and landscaping structures, meet project and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Do
* Perform on-site inspections of irrigation, landscaping, and related infrastructure works
* Verify material quality and conduct field tests, such as soil compaction, concrete slump, and alignment checks
* Monitor underground piping, pump stations, wall chambers, paving, and related civil structures
* Review drawings and specifications to confirm construction compliance
* Prepare quality control reports, safety observations, and daily logs
* Inspect subcontractor works and ensure adherence to project standards
* Monitor pressure testing, valve chamber installation, and irrigation fittings
* Ensure workmanship meets municipality and contractual requirements
* Coordinate closely with construction teams to resolve field issues promptly
* Support the implementation of job safety practices and inspections
Ideal Profile
* Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field
* At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure and landscaping inspection, preferably in the UAE
* Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, concrete structures, and Dubai project requirements
* Ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and test results
* Good verbal and written English communication skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic construction management software
* Familiarity with Dubai authority standards and recent project experience in the emirate is preferred
