We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to work on a large subway/metro program here in the UAE, a project that will have a long-lasting impact on the local community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cyber security measures to protect our rail systems and infrastructure
In this role you will get to provide technical leadership and direction for various phases of a significant rail and transit program to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
Ensure adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethical, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to protect rail systems and infrastructure, including cyber security measures.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses specific to rail projects.
Review and optimize proposed designs and security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all stages of rail project development.
Stay updated on the latest threats, trends, and technologies relevant to the rail industry.
Provide training and support to staff on best practices.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to rail security.
Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols. Supervise the acquisition of necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities.
Lead technical excellence on the project.
Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activities, including significant milestones and any conditions that could affect project cost or schedule.
Participate in discussions with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
Work with key project staff, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to devise and execute action plans to address potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
Complete other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution
Minimum of 12 years of experience in cyber security, with a preference for experience in rail projects.
Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, protocols, and technologies.
Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and encryption.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and rail-specific guidelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are preferred.
GCC experience is preferred.
Must have experience in Client Interfacing roles.
