Role Context
The Dry Utilities Design Engineer supports the development of electrical infrastructure systems including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage networks. This role contributes to project success by ensuring design accuracy, compliance with international and local standards, and coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform design calculations and prepare engineering drawings for power and telecom utility networks
* Develop electrical load calculations, material take-offs, and technical documentation
* Support senior engineers in delivering infrastructure design packages
* Utilize CAD and engineering software tools to produce accurate design outputs
* Review and coordinate drawings with CAD designers to ensure compliance and constructability
* Apply relevant engineering codes and standards in all design activities
* Assist in preparing reports and technical submissions for project approvals
* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on design requirements
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
* Minimum 3 years of experience in dry utilities or electrical infrastructure design
* Strong knowledge of HV, MV, and LV systems design
* Experience with infrastructure projects and utility network planning
* Familiarity with international codes such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local UAE authority standards
* Ability to prepare technical reports and engineering documentation
