Role Context
This role supports the planning, design coordination, and execution of electrical infrastructure across airport and airfield projects, ensuring integration with multidisciplinary systems and compliance with global aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support electrical engineering activities across airport and airfield infrastructure projects
* Coordinate with consultants and contractors for proper design and installation of electrical systems
* Monitor progress of electrical works and provide on-site technical support
* Review electrical systems including airfield ground lighting, runway and taxiway lighting, approach lighting, and power distribution systems
* Oversee substations, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and backup power solutions
* Review electrical design drawings, specifications, calculations, and shop drawings
* Ensure integration with civil, mechanical, and ICT systems
* Verify compliance with international aviation and electrical standards
* Monitor installation works and ensure adherence to approved designs
* Review contractor method statements and inspection test plans
* Participate in inspections, audits, testing, and commissioning activities
* Support energization and operational readiness processes
* Ensure complete documentation for system handover
* Coordinate with airport operators, aviation authorities, consultants, and contractors
* Participate in technical meetings and project coordination workshops
* Ensure compliance with ICAO, FAA, EASA, IATA, IEC, IEEE, and local authority standards
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum 8+ years experience in electrical engineering
* Experience in airport or large-scale infrastructure projects
* Strong knowledge of airfield ground lighting systems preferred
* Experience in electrical design review and construction supervision
* Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
