What You’ll Do
* Design and engineer instrumentation, control, and automation systems for water, wastewater, drainage, and metro projects
* Prepare detailed design documents including
P&IDs, I/O schedules, loop diagrams, interlock logic, and control philosophies
* Select and specify instruments, PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and related automation components for various applications
* Develop and review functional design specifications, cable containment layouts, and integration strategies
* Conduct life cycle cost analyses, prepare technical presentations, and support authority approvals with DEWA, RTA, DCD, and Dubai Municipality
* Oversee HAZOP studies, safety reviews, and compliance with international standards such as IEC, ISO, and BS codes
* Provide technical direction to CAD/digital delivery teams using AutoCAD, Revit, and related design software
* Support project coordination with contractors, consultants, and authorities for design alignment and submittal reviews
* Ensure designs integrate safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency while adhering to Parsons’ quality standards
* Contribute to project meetings, technical evaluations, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical and Electronics with Instrumentation major (Master’s preferred)
* At least 15 years of experience in ICA system design and engineering across water, wastewater, oil and gas, and metro projects
* Strong background in PLC, DCS, DDC, SCADA, HMI, and BMS system design and programming
* Proficiency with CAD/digital delivery workflows (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation)
* Full familiarity with authority regulations including DEWA, Dubai Municipality, RTA, and DCD
* Experience liaising with authorities for technical submissions and securing approvals (Dubai Municipality/RTA approvals a plus)
* Knowledge of ELV systems, ICT networks, data centers, and control room integration preferred
* Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver technical reports and client-facing presentations
* Proven leadership in guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex ICA projects
