Mechanical / Electrical Technician (Oil and Gas Company) Job Vacancy in Kuwait
Repair and/or adjust all types of electrical and HVAC equipment and cosmetic items.
Look for ways to conserve energy and report any ideas to the Engineering Management.
Emergencies - be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and employees and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. To act as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status. Inform Engineering Management of any such emergencies.
Optimize maintenance costs.
Accident prevention and safety.
Maintain (includes but is not limited to full servicing, repairing, installing, and maintaining in good working condition) all the equipment utilized in the facility
Follow up on daily records, and maintenance schedules and assist the superior in implementing optimum staff planning and control
Assist the Supervisor to determine optimal operating efficiency and take necessary corrective measures when variances from standards are excessive through logs and utility data
Assure implementation of policies, standards, and procedures for energy conservation and control, operation and control of plant and equipment, inspection and staff supervision
Analyses and monitors energy costs and expenditures for the Department
Accept additional or temporary assignments as instructed by his superior from time to time
Troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of Laundry machines such as washes extractor, tumblers, flat work ironer, dry cleaning machines, utility press, form finisher, vacuum machine, marker, etc.; Kitchen and refrigeration equipment such as cooking range, toaster, juicer, ice maker, freezers, fridge, blender, oven, food warmer, brewers, the dishwashing machine, mixer, etc.
Systematically check, oiling & lubricate equipment, changing of belts, and tighten screws, nuts, and bolts if necessary to ensure that all machines are in good working order
Daily checking & recording of cooking gas consumption & order when stock level runs low
Maintain all lighting in hotel area including lighting in cold rooms, fridge, etc.
Report & attend to fire alarm or emergencies as the occasion arises
Maintain the area & equipment under his charge in tip-top condition in terms of performance & cleanliness
Participate in an electrical safety program
Perform required maintenance and inventory of equipment and order supplies as needed
Test and resolve equipment issues, send in equipment for repairs as needed
Order and replace the correct spares of equipment as needed
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Update logbook, service request data and complete submit required reports
Take necessary corrective actions against any Guest Feedback
Report any maintenance/engineering concerns, unusual findings, or safety hazards
Perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require
Minimum of three (3) years of working experience in the Engineering Department in a facility
Knowledge of Engineering Operations in the Hotel
Previous experience in the operation and maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain commercial equipment and related installations in the facility
High school diploma or GED and/or an associate's degree supplemented by specialized training in the electrical trades
Ability to work effectively alone and unassisted or as a member of a crew
Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing; standing for prolonged periods
Sufficient visual acuity to read computer screens, printed documents, and operate equipment
